Three years ago the LCF formed LIMEgreen as a gardening club and they've done some valuable local projects, fostering engagement and expanding the scope of our commitment to the community. We're now moving this Working Group forward and expanding it's scope. We want to preserve the simple and fulfilling act of digging in the dirt and watching things grow. We also want to foster the social act of like-minded people getting together for, a coffee or garden tour, or a lecture.
But we also want to address the growing issues of climate change, street use, recycling and air quality. We're pleased to tell you that Dorinda Osterman will be joining us as the leader of the LIMEgreen Working Group. Dorinda is probably overqualified for the role with her history in geochemistry and oceanography. We're very pleased she has agreed to take on this challenging role.
