LIMEgreen is a newly established neighborhood gardening club with the goal of beautifying Limehouse by restoring run-down green spaces and creating new ones. Our hope is to bring the community together while working toward a greener, healthier and more beautiful environment for our historic district.
The group is a volunteer organization open to anyone who wishes to lend a hand cleaning up and replanting targeted sites around the area. We launched in early September with initial funding provided by the LImehouse Community Forum and plans to fundraise for continued support. Our local Mayor and Council have endorsed the project with warm enthusiasm.
LIMEGreen’s first endeavours tackled the Westferry Portacabin on Limehouse Causeway and a plot at the corner of Three Colt Street/Commercial Road. Thanks to the tremendous efforts of our volunteers the areas were cleared of debris and weeds and replanted with gorgeous shrubs and flowers for a complete transformation.

Our next LimeGreen gardening event will be on Sunday, November 26th with maintenance visits to our previous projects, and a discussion over coffee and cakes of what we'd like to take on in the spring.
We'll be meeting at the Bandstand in Ropemakers Fields at 10am.
RSVP email@example.com or

We would also like to hear from you if you have identified any potential planting sites in Limehouse
